Students for Humans Charity

Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is undertaken by businesses to ensure a safer tomorrow. Here at EU Business School, we integrate CSR in a number of ways. Most importantly, we lead by example, incorporating CSR into our business strategy and educational philosophy. We are proud to play our part by incorporating sustainable thinking into our curricula; educating students about modern developments and actively contributing to exciting green projects and development initiatives. We help our students develop socially responsible mindsets, creating both conscientious and successful leaders for tomorrow’s business world. Students for Humans Charity

Students for Humans -
EU Soccer Charity Event

Football is more than just a sport. It’s a universal language that brings people together from all over the world, eliminating the borders that separate us and the differences that set us apart. Our annual 7-a-side charity football tournament embraces ‘the beautiful game’ while bringing our multicultural student body together for a common cause. Organized by and for EU students, the charity tournament aims to raise money for a good cause that will ultimately have an impact beyond the goal line!

Paint the World Charity

Paint the World Panama -
Students Charity Initiative

Paint the World was founded by Aziza Aznizan, a former EU student, and is a student-led charity initiative that encourages young people to set up activities in communities around the world. Through EU’s international student network, Paint the World has successfully organized visits to orphanages, cancer societies and autistic centers in countries from Lebanon to Panama.

CSR Week

Social Responsibility Week
at EU Barcelona

Every year, EU Business School organizes a social responsibility week. Charities are invited to our campuses to raise awareness about the important work they do. ‘In the Spotlight’ guest speaker sessions are also held, where socially conscious businesses and startups share their knowledge and experience about important green issues they confront every day. A clothing drive is also hosted to raise money for charity.

We recycled over 1000 PET bottles on our Swiss campuses in 2020 which helped to protect against climate change, promote energy efficiency, reduce waste and preserve non-renewable energy sources.

Treedom

Our remarkable guest speakers play an important role at EU. These top professionals bring business to life for our students by explaining the latest trends in different sectors, sharing key insights and offering career advice. We have chosen to thank them for giving our students the opportunity to grow by planting a tree in their name through Treedom.net. This is an enduring reminder of their contribution to the EU community and underlines our ongoing commitment at EU Business School to sustainability and social enterprise.

A Helping Hand

We are working with local organizations to improve the infrastructure of Yirwal, a West African village, located in Burkina Faso, a landlocked country where French is an official language. Thus far, we have funded an ambulance, two flour mills and a water well. By improving the infrastructure of the village and empowering women entrepreneurs, we have improved conditions for the community. Easy access to water has been especially beneficial for children, improving attendance at the local school. Currently, we are planning a training center to prepare young people for work.
